Our application follows a process where it examines the content of the designated file for minification. This file is then processed through a CSS or JS minification mechanism, resulting in the creation of a fresh file within your theme. To maintain a record, the previous file is renamed as '<old-file>.old.js' or '<old-file>.old.css'.
It's important to acknowledge the potential impact on the front end when minifying files, given that minifiers are not flawless. Instances of syntax irregularities or unconventional code practices might lead to complications in the minification process. To mitigate this, we strongly advise duplicating your theme and performing file minification on the duplicate version first. This approach allows you to preview the results before implementing them on the live site.
